TrybeSave started with a simple reality.
We were immigrants from Nigeria trying to build our lives in a new country.
Like many people in the diaspora, we were balancing many financial responsibilities at the same time.
Paying bills.
Building our own future.
And supporting family back home.
We worked hard, earned money, and wanted to save. But managing our finances across countries wasn't simple.
There were many apps for spending.
Some apps for investing.
And many apps for sending money home.
But there was nothing that helped us do something much more important:

We were friends long before TrybeSave existed.
Like many immigrants, our conversations often came back to money.

Many people in our communities call this "black tax" — the responsibility of supporting family members while trying to build your own financial stability.
It's not something we complain about.
Supporting family is part of who we are.
But it can also make financial planning complicated.
Over time, we realized something important.
